There’s only one martial arts center that’s been voted “Best Martial Arts Instruction” in the greater Danvers/Peabody area for five straight years. And now they have an official blog. And you’ve found it.
Since 1995, the United Martial Arts Center has been teaching students a wide range of martial arts techniques, incorporating elements from Kung Fu, Tai Chi, Ai Ki Do, and Hap Ki Do. What makes the UMAC especially appealing, though, is its focus on self-improvement. The classes are designed to benefit both the mind and the body, for students of all ages.
The owners and instructors of the center, Anthony and Rita Rose Pasquale, both carry the title of sifu (a Chinese term meaning “master,” pronounced “shi-fu”) and are multiple-degree black belts. They’re also very involved in local community programs and various philanthropic ventures.
Going forward, this blog will take you inside the United Martial Arts Center and show you the people, the classes, and the philosophies that make it unique. It will offer tips and tricks for getting the most out of martial arts training, proper nutrition (especially for younger students), and reasons you might want to consider giving the martial arts a try. And it will keep you updated on various local events with which the center is associated.
Welcome!
