Danvers Halloween Safety Fair, Sponsored by UMAC, Danvers YMCA, and DEEP

The Danvers Halloween Safety Fair was held on Saturday October 24, 2009. It was sponsored by United Martial Arts Center (UMAC), the Danvers YMCA, and Danvers Educational Enrichment Program (DEEP).

The event was intended to provide information to local children about how to be safe and healthy for Halloween. Safety information was provided by Danvers CARES, Danvers POLICE, D.A.R.E, the Danvers Fire Department, the Red Cross, the Department of Children & Families, New York Life, and Roadeez.

Children came dressed in their Halloween costumes, played Halloween games, and got to go trick or treating a little bit early. There was also a craft table with some great seasonal crafts for participants.

Halloween safety candy bags were donated by the United Martial Arts Center for Health and Well Being. Food was provided by Kelly’s Roast Beef.

Despite the fact that it was raining, there was a great turnout. It was a great day! Congratulations to all of the participants!
