Martial Arts and the Road to Self-Improvement and Self-Discipline

As our students and their families know, United Martial Arts Center (UMAC) teaches various forms of Martial Arts, with the main style being Kung Fu. However, for UMAC and its instructors, the real focus of the school is on teaching our students self-improvement and self-discipline. UMAC’s Martial Arts classes are designed to benefit both the mind and the body.

There are many physical benefits for students embarking on the journey of a Martial Arts practice, but the most important benefits gained are self-respect and confidence.

At UMAC, we believe that confidence is the key to unlocking your child’s potential. Skill and ability are important, but in order to accomplish anything, a person must have the confidence to act decisively and put those skills and abilities to use.

While our Children’s Program at UMAC will teach your child about the principles of Martial Arts, each program incorporates Life Skills training, so your child will learn how to practice Martial Arts – physically, mentally, and all of the time.

Our instructors will take you step by step through your first lesson to help you evaluate and determine which of our martial art programs is right for you. Best of all, you don’t need to have previous experience or need to be in shape, and you don’t need to be flexible or anything else to get started. Please call 978-762-0454 to set up a time to try a free lesson!
