Time Flies When You’re Teaching Martial Arts in Danvers

Do you remember what you were doing in 1995? Rooting on the San Francisco 49ers as they defeated the San Diego Chargers in the Super Bowl? Heading out to your local movie theater to see Braveheart while listening to Sheryl Crow’s “All I Wanna Do” on the radio?

Well Sifu Anthony Pasquale and Sifu Rita Rose Pasquale were just opening the United Martial Arts Center in Danvers. And now, 15 years and countless students later, the UMAC is still going strong.

Since a cornerstone of the UMAC is giving back to the community, those 15 years have included more events than you can shake a stick at – belt graduation ceremonies, movie nights, kick-a-thons for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, holiday costume parties, fundraisers, martial arts demonstrations, food pantry campaigns, and so much more. Knowing the drive, passion, and determination that Sifu Rita and Sifu Anthony have for what they do, we wouldn’t be surprised if they were celebrating UMAC’s 50th anniversary 35 years from now with their incredible staff of up-and-coming Instructors from the CIT (Certified Instructors Training) Program.

To help commemorate this 15-year milestone, the United Martial Arts Center has 15th Anniversary T-shirts available. Look cool while showing your support for the organization that started when Windows 95 was ultra cutting edge – UMAC!
